Located in a quiet, conveniently located neighborhood, (2 blocks from Nugget (best market in town) and CVS, 2 blocks from bus, 2-3 miles from campus. The house is a couple of turns off of any major street, so minimal traffic. House is completely furnished. Bedrooms are small, but common space is large and shared. One bathroom shared by renters. Good-sized LR, FR/den with privacy doors, used as guest room/study/library. Gourmet kitchen (convection ovens, 5-burner gas cooktop, dishwasher, water filters etc.). New windows and insulation. Hardwood floors, CH/A, wireless cable internet, extra freezer, garage space for some storage. Lots of outdoor living space in large shaded, yard with a big patio and a deck – lounging area, dining area, hammock, BBQ. Everyone is responsible for 1/3 of PG&E and Comcast (internet and cable), and ¼ of monthly cleaning service. This typically comes to $100-130/month. I cover city services fees and a gardener. NO SMOKING.
I’m career staff at the vet school and have 2 cats. No additional pets. I have most often rented to professional and grad students, vet students and residents. I’m looking for graduate or professional students, residents or post-docs. I like a relaxed, low-key household where everyone feels welcome, and is courteous and respectful of others. Overnight guests are fine, but no 4th or 5th roommates. Keep common areas reasonable; someone will come in to clean once a month. Initial lease is 9-10 months, renewable annually if we get along. I get the Sacramento Bee, Davis Enterprise, The New Yorker, and various cooking magazines. Household members get added to my Davis Food Co-op membership. I like to spend spare time in the mountains, hiking, cycling, snowshoeing, and xc skiing. In town I spend spare time doing glass art and needlepoint, gardening, at the gym, cooking, curled up with a book, or vegging in front of the TV.
